[Artemisia] Using the Kingdom list.

Recently the question arose concerning how to post to the Artemisian
list. Here's a walk-through -

1. Go to http://lists.gallowglass.org/mailman/listinfo/artemisia . Join.
2. Post your message to artemisia at lists.gallowglass.org
3. Rinse.
4. Repeat.

This is an automated process, untouched by human hands. If you do
Step One, then try to do step two and find you cannot post because you
are not a member, you screwed up Step One. You screwed up. Not me, not
the Crown, the peers, or the assembled populace. You.

If you try posting without joining, your message goes to a holding
bin. Once a week or so, whenever I have an hour or so to waste, I go and
delete most all of the messages there. That's because they are most all
spam. I do this so you all don't have to. But it does mean that that one
message in a hundred that's not spam might get deleted too. Or it might
just sit there for a week or more. Why don't I do it more often? Because
I hate spam, and don't want to deal with it more than I have to. I'm not
going to check every day, just on the one in a hundred chance that there
may be a real message there.

I figure most folks can follow a few simple steps, and if they
forget to at first, will realize their mistake and fix the problem
themselves by joining the list. If they continue to have problems, I
further expect most reasoning adults capable of writing polite letters
(with recognizable subjects, not "Y0ur W3bs1te!!! gfregh") inquiring if
I might be able to help.

    That's what I figure.

It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies.
