Due to the number of people expected to this event we highly recommend
that you pre-register if at all possible.

For hotel reservations the discount rate is $69.00 per double occupancy
room if done by phone giving the code "SCA".  Hotel rooms include iron,
ironing board, and hair dryer, coffee pot.

There is a free shuttle from the Akron/Canton Airport to the
hotel...courtesy of the 4 Points Sheraton.  There is also a shuttle
available from the Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE) to the Akron Canton
Airport (CAK) for a charge of $18 per person.  For airport information
at CAK you may call 330-499-4221.

Please use the online registration form if possible to send in with your
registration.  If this is not possible, please be sure to include your
mundane name, SCA name, contact information (phone or address), member
or non, and what you are paying for.

Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm.  Site will be open for merchant set-up

Feast

Dinner will be a catered buffet by the hotel.  It will include the
following:

bread pudding with whiskey sauce.


Box Lunch

The box lunch will be done by the hotel.  It will consist of a soda, a
sandwich (choice of ham or turkey), choice of chips or pretzels, fruit
and a cookie.

Merchants

Merchants must reserve table space in advance from THL Katarina

and the cost is $20 per table and $50 per room.  Merchants must be
pre-approved by Katarina.  All tables are 8 feet long.

Merchants are scheduled to include:

Continental Trims (assorted trims)
The LaceMaker (lace)
White Wolf and Phoenix (Garb accessories)
Period Knitting (Handknit caps, stockings, etc.)

Classes

Classes will be scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday (7 to 8 tracks)
and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday (4 tracks).  All class must be approved
through Master Mordak and approved teachers will receive a discount on
site cost.

There will be a special guest speaker:  Mistress Drea di Pelligrini with
topics tba.

Internet Lounge

For the convenience of those who need to keep in touch with modern-world
responsibilities (work or family) or who wish to look up Internet
resources suggested by class instructors, we are pleased to offer a FREE
Internet Lounge during the Costume Symposium.  We will have Ethernet
connections where you can hook up your laptop computer, plus a limited
number of workstations for general web access.

Additional Information

There will be a hospitality room and a royalty room available.

Photographer Angelina Oberlin will be on site taking photos against
medieval backgrounds for an additional charge.

Saturday evening there will be a fashion show that will be videotaped
and copies will be available for purchase $10 on CD or on video.  These
copies will be mailed after the event.

Proceedings will be available for $15 print or $10 on CD.  To receive
the proceedings on site you must pre-registered.  If they are purchased
at the gate they will be mailed 2 weeks after the event.

There will be a field trip for those interested to the Kent State
Fashion Museum on Sunday for a charge of $10 per person.  Interested
parties will be bused to Kent.  Pre-registration is required as space
will be limited.

Directions:  Take your best route to I77 in Ohio.

 From the North:  Take I77 South to Exit 111 (Canal Fulton/Portage
Rd.).  Turn right at the light at the bottom of the exit.  Go to the far
left lane and continue into the far left turning lane at the first
light.  This is the Sunset Strip.  Turn left and continue through 5
lights.  Just after the 5th light (Dressler Rd.) there is a small street
to the left called Metro Circle.  Turn to the left here and the hotel is
on the left. (There is a large WCCV sign with a smaller 4 Points
Sheraton sign at the road.)

 From the South:  Take I77 North to exit 109A (Belden Village).  The
exit will turn into Belden Village St.  You will go straight through 2
lights and turn right at the 3rd light (Dressler Rd.)  Go through 3
lights.  After the third light there is a small street to the right
called Metro Cr.  You will turn right here and the hotel is on the
left.  (At this street there is a large WCCV sign with a small 4 Points
Sheraton sign.)
