The Best Little Army
~~~~~~~o~~~~~~~
Two Armies crouched in battle formation on opposing sides of the meadow.
	The Archers loose!
	The Coursiers charge!
	The Infantry crashes together and the battle.....
~~~~~~~o~~~~~~~

Armies consist of 1 Archer, 1 Equestrian and 1 Armored Fighter. Form your
own now and compete to be the Best Little Army in Artemisia. Two
divisions: 1) Regular Armies of comrades formed to be highly competitive
units. 2) Irregular Armies formed at the event weighted and assigned to
be evenly matched.

Best Little Army Tournament description: Two three-man armies enter the
battlefield. At the signal, the archers loose 6 arrows. Shoot slowly and
carefully to score well or be the first to finish and get extra points.
Then the coursiers charge down the tiltyard and take aim to their
individual 6 targets. The first to finish gets extra points. And finally,
the armored fighters of the infantry clash. Points are lost as time
elapses so fight carefully but aggressively.
q Regular armies are formed to win; pick your comrades and go for the
victory. Or join the irregulars who will be assigned an army. Or do
both.!
q Inform the Event Steward by May 16th of the name of your Regular Army
and its members. All other entrants will be placed in the irregular army
pool and be assigned an army at the event.
There will be a processional of armies to Their Excellencies Baron Alric
and Baroness Catherine prior to the tournament. The procession shall
begin at 10:30AM on Saturday.

Mark your calendars to attend the May camping event in Arn Hold and
compete in the only event in the Known World to combine these fighting
forms. Additional combats in all three forms will be held throughout the
weekend including The Baronial Equestrian Championship Tournament,
designed this year by Lord Philip de Lisboa. Also planned is a torchlight
armored tournament fundraiser, a round-robin rapier tournament using 3
forms of weapons, children’s activities and Universitatis classes.

Campers are encouraged to dress their encampments to represent being on
campaign during war times. Households are welcome to fly their colors.
Wenches are welcome to travel along. Smalls are welcome and Pets too
(both very tasty). Remember, Pets must be kept leashed unless being
slipped to a lure course or turned out in the X-pen (pick up their poop
too)... two strikes, you’re out. Fires pits (above ground only) are
welcome (bring your own firewood), merchants are welcome; everyone is
welcome. Sorry, there is no shade but we do have potable water and
showers. This is a damp site, period containers, please. For those who
enjoy the comforts of RVing, you may park in the Artemisia’s first
Tinker’s Town.

Horse owners: be prepared to show your equine passport. Those traveling
interstate, check w/your vet for current legal requirements. Those
traveling in-state, please be current on strangles & the Artemisian 2 yr
Coggins rule. Stalls with bedding are available for $5 pr day w/$5
