10. ROYAL EMBROIDERY CLASSES

Elizabeth Elvin, director of London's Royal School of Needlework 
  headquartered in Hampton Court Palace, has been teaching 
needlework classes at the historic Hotel Pattee in Perry, IA 
since the late 1990s. There is an article in the October issue of 
"Veranda" magazine that tells the history of this relationship.

Students from the novice to the skilled needleworker come from 
all over to be guided by Elizabeth's endless patience.  She will 
teach two courses in 2005 at the Hotel Pattee: Royal School of 
Needlework-Goldwork Courses, April 25-29; Anglicanum-Tree of
