[Artemisia] help with a school project

My neighbor is working on a project for one of English class.  She is interested in writing about the SCA.  
She was wondering if there were any players out there who would be willing to answer a few questions as to why they play, if they have any rituals they do before fighting or other questions pertaining to participation in the SCA.
