You know, I had the same problem not so long ago. Then a very wise woman by
the name of Casamira told me to stop looking at what I was wearing and
worrying about what others might say and thinking I had to meet someone else's
expectations. She told me to remember why I was first attracted to the group
and what I enjoyed doing and to just go back to doing that. And you know what,
she was right. I started doing what I enjoyed, when I could do it, on my
schedule. And suddenly there it was .... Camelot.

You know what else? I discovered that those expectations I thought others
had were mostly in my own mind. THEY really only expected me to be me. And
that is really one of the main things that makes this group Camelot. That
here, as in very few other places, people accept you for who you are and only
expect you to be who you are and do what you are best capable of doing ...
warts and all. Sure they would like you to be the best you that you can be, but
they don't expect Niccolo to be the best Basil he can be. That is truly a
wonderful acceptance found few other places and one that we should all
appreciate.

So put on that T tunic if that is what you have available, come on out and
join us when you can and know that you will be welcomed whether we just saw
you yesterday or it has been a year or more. Do the activities YOU enjoy and
share your knowledge if and when you feel comfortable doing so. The rest will
come about naturally, you will just look up one day and see castle walls and
know that you have come home.

(walking away tugging soapbox behind me, guess I should just get used to it
being around by now)
