[Artemisia] Malkins Knee Surgery

Apologies to those who receive this more than once.

For those of you who may have been following the Epic of Malkins’s Knee, 
here is the latest.

Surgery is scheduled on 12 January, 2005, at the George E. Wallen Veterans 
Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I will be in the hospital 
for three days, and then on Convalescent Leave from work for as long as it 
takes (6 weeks to 6 months, depending on what it looks like when they 
actually get inside).

Surgery will be performed by a licensed Sports Medicine Specialist who is on 
contract with the VA to do knee surgery.  They will be using parts of my own 
tendons for some of the repairs, but will need to use some donor tissue as 
well, as the damage is too extensive to rob enough of mine to fix it all 
(ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and meniscus).

Updates will be available as soon as the world is no longer fuzzy and 
faintly pink.  Anyone desiring an update before that time may contact Sir
