Sadly enough, this mirrors the national trend for all hand crafts. Woodwork, 
leathercraft, fine metalsmithing...none of these are being taught to any 
depth in most mainstream school systems anymore. Sooner or later they won't 
even teach cooking in Home Ec classes.
