Just a reminder, that THE next event is here in Bronzehelm!  The "open soup 
kitchen" referred to is THIS tentative menu:

THE LYIN LION MENU

8:00 am: Grains Pottage with fruit, Waffles, bread with assortment of
spreads, boiled eggs, Coffee

11:00 am: Lentil Salad, hummus, pita, soft cheeses(1), fruit, hais

1:00pm: Viaunde of Cypres Ryalle, pasta salad, cowcumbers, hand pies(3),
pickles, jumbals, fruit

4:00pm: Pork Roast with sauces (4), Madrid Red Cabbage, chickpea soup,
Sallat, bread, **

7:00pm: Tagine of Beef, coucous, spiced Zucchini and carrots,  a sweets dish

Drinks: Syrups of Pomegranate, ginger, and lemon, small mead

** budget permitting: kabobs or  Andalusian meatballs (with Robert Sauce!)

1)  Feta/garlic, spinach/herb, plain and ??

2) a cold chicken dish, made from a donated turkey!

3) pie flavors: mincemeat (donated) onion, mushroom, spinach, fruits from
the freezer

4) sauces: pomegranate, mustard, cameline,  ??


Glorious battles await you at the Conquest of the Wasteland! The weekend of 
June 23 to 25 is your chance to bring honor to your name in the Shire of 
Bronzehelm. Enjoy tourneys for both heavy and rapier fighters, as well as 
scenario battles. An archery competition will also take place.

Performers and bards are encouraged to bring their talents to entertain the 
masses. There will be children's activities and period games for all ages.

A prize will be awarded to the most period campsite. There will be no feast, 
but there will be an open soup kitchen. Merchants are more than welcome!

Site Information:

Times: Site opens Friday, June 23 at noon and closes Sunday, June 25 at 
2:00.

Directions: From I-90: take exit 434 to Laurel, turning south on HWY 310 to 
go past the refinery. Follow the highway to Rockvale, where it splits at a 
flashing light. Take the left fork (310) and travel about 3 blocks. On the 
left side is the campground surrounded by trees, at 6 Fitzgerald Lane. The 
site is about ½ an hour from Billings.

Site Fee: Campers will be charged $10 for members, $13 for non-members. Day 
trippers are $7 for members, $10 for non-members. Children 10 and under $5. 
Fee includes food from the soup kitchen. Those with R.V.s pay the day trip 
fee, but must register with the site owner separately. Checks must be 
payable to Shire of Bronzehelm SCA, Inc.

Note: Open flames are restricted, campfires must be above ground. Pets must 
be on leash at all times. This is a wet site!
