Greetings,

I read your message between the lines quite clearly Mistress Tanglwyst.

However, as to your other point, it would be a futile gesture on my part to
stand for the BoD. For one thing An Tir currently has someone on the BoD,
for another, the way that person got on the BoD is an object lesson of why
and how the system would never have someone like me.

For Years An Tir complained that there were no An Tirans on the BoD.
Eventually, when they were shamed into it, instead of choosing someone from
the list of a half dozen people from An Tir already on the list, they
actively recruited Sir Donnan. He was nominated, submitted a resume and was
invited to the BoD in less than a month.

The had an idea of the kind of person they wanted, they needed someone from
An Tir, so they went out and got that person.

And it didn't hurt that he has a deep an abiding hatred for that which
counts twice as well either.

Why could I never be on the BoD?

I would insist on no R&D's until someone was proven guilty by a mundane
court.

I would insist that the BoD go to some sort of representative method of
choosing BoD members.

I would insist that no one would ever serve more than two terms at the
Corporate level. That's either two stints as BoD member or one as BoD and
one as officer. The merry go round of revolving titles at the corporate
level makes me ill.

There are lots of other things I would insist on. So many things that I
would be deemed 'unsuitable' to those who are looking for folks 'of like
mind' to join them at the Corporate level.

Would I serve if asked? You betcha.

Would they ever ask? They couldn't afford to.

BTW I'm cross posting this to the An Tir Steps since the same question was
asked there.

In Service,

Sir Daniel
