Good morning all,

Well sorry this is late but you all did want me to go and get some sleep!!!
I slept way more than I intended.

Dave this am has sat on the edge of the bed and had some pudding.
He kept his blood pressure in excellent range last night and no irregular
heart beat problems. Repertory therapy says he's doing great and will not
need to come by regularly to make him do his breathing exercises.

The plan today was for stopping the last of the IV meds (the Dopamine for
blood pressure), pull the line in his neck that allows those IV meds and to
read the internal pressures of the heart. Allow him to sit in the chair and
by afternoon be walking about the unit

So with that in mind he wanted to transfer over to the toilet they can pull
out from under the sink, but when they helped him stand his rt. Lower leg
would not hold him. He reported to not be able to feel it at all. Now for
a very long time (well before surgery) he has not been able to feel his feet
BUT the lower leg loss of feeling is quite new. He can bend his knee w/o
difficulty and wiggle his toe but to lift his heel/foot/lower leg off the
bed he can't right now. PT will be coming in to see what's happening. The
general thought right now is that its' just pretty weak.

So new plan is, keep taking the medicine down and off. Have him sit on bed
side with stand-up/sit down exercises till PT takes a look or the strength
comes back and if he's strong enough move to the chair a little latter.

His pain control is ok but he's trying to do with a little less to keep his
pressure up.

He says to say hi to all and thanks for all the prayers and thanks you've
sent the last couple of days.

I will try and update around 1PM or so.

Thanks again,

Cecilia
