[Artemisia] What is the Queen's Tea?

We will be having a Queen's Tea at Uprising.
I'd like to discuss what the Queen's Tea is and what it is NOT.

The Queen's Tea is a place where you can go, and speak to the Queen,
probably her Royal Highness, and other nobles. While your presence is an
honor, actually speaking with the Queen is the point of the event.

Yes, even you, the newbee, and you, the forgotten shy one, can speak to the
Queen. Don't interrupt Her if she is in conversation, but wait for Her to
finish before approaching. I'm sure her ladies in waiting will be on hand
to accept largess for the upcoming Pennsic gift baskets. And coming from
your hand, Her Majesty would know your name and face!

Then, after speaking to her, have a nibble and a sip of something cool.

The Queen's Tea is NOT a substitute for lunch. It's not the free dessert
bar! Many members of the Barony of Loch Salann will donate goodies, and we
hope you will enjoy 1 or 2. But don't expect to get your day's 3000
calories for free, and then slip away without saying Hi to Her Majesty.

This is MY opinion.
No one asked me to post this.
If anyone has a problem with my saying this, please contact me privately --
not on the list.

YIS,
 Baroness Casamira Jawjalny, O.L.
