The success of the English was due to several factors:

1. The English realized how to utilize and place/command it's archers,
along with it's other foot soldiers
2. The French just could not shake the old "chivalrous charge of heavy
horse", and they suffered for it.
3. The English, by luck or command intelligence, usually found
themselves on the high ground. That and the damnable weather, their foes
fought through a bog first, before being challenged by the first battle
of the oposing force.
4. The French did not woo themselves to possible allies well, by
trampling down their own hired forces.

It was not any one man, nor commander, nor type of combatant, nor an
individual weapon type - It was because they all worked together.
