[Artemisia] period fencing bag

Not that I've come across. I've seen some notes on sword "cases" which I'm pretty sure are referencing boxes for matched blades used for judicial duals late in period, but nothing on a fencing bag.Keep in mind, not much equipment besides a bated blade was used, so they could have just worn their stuff to lessons. The fencing mask we use today wasn't invented until 1780, so they wouldn't have packed one around.A quick google search only gives links to sword frogs. You might get close if you researched bags for general use in period...Just a thought.Antoine> Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2007 14:12:00 -0700> From: reuben_arwen at yahoo.com> To: artemisia at lists.gallowglass.org> Subject: [Artemisia] period fencing bag> > Are there any extant fencing and equipment bags, references, or pics? Sarah and I were going to make one, and she'd prefer to have it be period. Thanks, Arwen> > ---------------------------------> Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect.
