[Artemisia] Marigolds?

Lovely little flowers, one of my favorites. They can also be used in
the dye pot, no you don't need just the little French Marigolds. Makes
a really pretty golden yellow. Pick the flowers just as they are
starting to lose their bloom (all you need to do is dead head a bit
sooner, those that go too long or you miss, pull the seeds and spread
throughout the garden, don't you just love volunteers). Dry them as you
would any flower. I keep them in a large bag until I have enough for
whatever project I'm working on. Usually 2 to 1 but will work on a 1 to
1 basis as well (however, the more flowers you use the more golden the
color), for those of you interested that's 1 oz of dye stuff to 1 oz of
pre-mordanted fiber. As with all yellows 1st into the pot gets all the
color, the exhaust bath in trifling.

They also look very cheery in dried flower arrangements. So in my garden
the little marigolds have several uses.
