"Sordid and Sacred: The Beggars in Rembrandt's Etchings" will be at the 
Meloy Gallery, March 11- April 29, 2008, University of Montana. On Tuesday, 
April 15, 7 pm., Meloy Gallery, is a lecture by Valerie Hedquist, UM 
Professor of Art History & Criticism.
"One of the most skilled and beloved figures in the history of art, 
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was a 17th C. Dutch painter, draftsman, and 
etcher. To celebrate Rembrandt's art, the Montana Museumof Art & Culture 
will exhibit 35 rare etchings created by the master between 1629 and 
1654...."
