[Artemisia] socks

Um, no.  You would use either silk or wool.  There is a lovely silk/wool 
blend from Zephyr at Halcyon yarn that would make *very* nice period socks.  
I've done a few swatches on my 00's and it was nice, nice, nice.  Of course, 
the time involved in such tiny needles etc. is a bit crazy making but the 
end result would probably make you swoon every time you put them on.
