I have been a part of a few food drives and most food banks can not take home made items because of liability and safety issues. It might be different because this is a church pantry.

Can it be a home-canned item (a glass container) or should we stick with commercially packaged metal cans?

As you are packing your wagons to make the journey to Southern Collegium this Saturday, please don't forget about the food drive to benefit the pantry at the St. James Church.

Bring a little, bring a lot, any contribution of non-perishable food items would be appreciated. Each person that donates a food item is eligible to receive a raffle ticket for a prize that I am donating.

thanks for your consideration!
