I heard rumor that someone is to be bestowed with a Pelican award at
Solstice Court - but have missed the name of this person. Could anyone
enlighten? Was it just a rumor, or is someone going to be sitting vigil at
Solstice for a Pelican?
Thanks you,
Lady Flora of Heronton

Subject: [Artemisia] Recap of Crown

These are some of the things I paid attention to -- (someone else will have
to fill in what I missed).

His Grace Duke Reinmar, inspired by his Ladywife Duchess Albreda, was
victorious upon the field, and their Majesties do now have heirs -- should
the need ever arise, may their reign last forever.

Timmur was given his Khan (backscroll) --- and subsequently became a conned
Don, to be -- yes, Timmur was asked to play his prize for the White Scarf at
Solstice Court.

Updated Rules for Rapier Fighting, with the addition of Cut and Thrust
guidelines were signed into effect by their Majesties -- these will be
available shortly, on-line.

Lady Gwyneth took her oath of office, overseeing the efforts of Waterbearing
for the Kingdom.

A wonderful bardic was held with approximately 15 participants -- it was
hotly contested, and HerRoyal Majesty said choosing a bard was the most
difficult decision she has had to make so far this reign. In the end,
Sundrina of Dragonmarch was named Kingdom Bard.

A salon, complete with warm fire, delectable eatables, and pleasant company
was available throughout the day, a refuge from the somewhat soggy weather
outside, thanks to Lady Aine and her helpers.

Lady Kadrina of Arrows' Flight is now Her Ladyship -- having been given The
Sun in Splendor by their Majesties. Her husband Lord Stephan was invited to
become a member of the Order of the Golden Maple Leaf for his skill in the
art of brewing.

Mistress Casamira headed up a talented crew and prepared a feast held that
evening. My favorite part was the pine-nut dish - yummy.

Over $300.00 was raised from the bakesale for Roibaer's (and I think I just
misspelled his name, my apologies) family. Artemisians are indeed generous
souls.

A war practice was held Sunday morning with about 30-some participants.

And finally, after running around all weekend doing some fetching and
carrying, flirting, and fighting, and groveling, a semi-drowned Rat slept
for 14 hours straight. -- And that's about all I remember.

Yours in Service,

THL KyneWynn
