Defender's Tourney

March 15, 2008

The site is the Taylorsville Assembly Hall, located at 1247 West and
4800 South in Taylorsville, UT, 84123.

Site fees: $10 per adult member (age 16+), $5 for youth (age 6-15).
Children 5 years and under are guests of the Barony and there is a $30
family cap. Nonmembers add the $3 nonmember surcharge for each adult.

Once again that saline swilling daemon decapod does slink slither and
slide it's slimy self to the surface of the salty loch from whence our
barony does draw it's name and once again a call goes forth unto the
people of Loch Salann for warriors to step forward and be counted ready.
Loch Salann does call all ready men and women of cote armor, all
practitioners of the arte of defense and archers of renown to test their
mettle and that of their brothers at arms. For on the fifteenth day of
March, Anno Societatis XLII, a feat of arms will be held to see which of
these sturdy men and women have the mettle to drive the horrid beast
back i to the deep from whence it came. Know ye this that the beast can
not be bested by deeds of arms alone but too must be cajole drawn and
bated into contest by she who is most likely to draw for the creature.
Thus there will be a tournament for the right to declare one lady or
lord of inspiration the Lord or Lady Shrimp Bait.

There will be an Arts and Sciences competition to determine our Baronial
Arts and Sciences Champion. Here ye the words of Lady Anna on this
matter:
Magnum Opus
The 2008 Baronial Arts & Sciences Championship for Loch Salann

The next Baronial Arts & Sciences Champion will be selected at
Defenders¿ Tourney on March 15th, 2008. The theme of the championship is
"Magnum Opus", which is Latin for "great work". The winner will be
determined on the basis of one great, awe-inspiring work, across all
categories. Any artisan may enter may enter up to three works into the
competition, but to be selected as the Champion, the artisan must be a
member of Loch Salann.

Documentation is REQUIRED. Entries without documentation will not be
accepted. (If you have questions about documentation or need help with
it, please attend Loch Salann's A & S Night on February 4th!
