Greetings,

Time draws near for your venture across the Silk Road. Horses played a
huge part in transporting goods east to west and so they are included in
this reenactment. I hope those who are non-equestrian types enjoy their
presence and those who are equestrians come to love how horse-friendly
the site is.

There will be a horse camp and all horse owners bringing horses should
camp with their steeds. The site is privative with a creek near by for
watering your horse(s). Bring your suitable horse containments, which
are electric or panel fencing and/or high-tie ropes. Pickets are not
allowed. Horse camp is a short walk away from the others. There is a
fire ring in the encampment and plenty of space to spread out. The
gaming area is long and narrow with grassy footing. The only requirement
for in-coming horses is to be on WEED-FREE hay for the entire stay. This
is a site requirement. I'd like to get a head count. Please email me
off-list or call 208-602-3265... thanks.

Equine activities planned thus far:
Friday, authorizations and sunset trailride.
Saturday morning, Baronial Equestrian Championship Tournament for Arn Hold.
Saturday late afternoon, a mounted class in (SCA-friendly) buzkachi for
all riders, General Riders and Mounted Gamers. Sunday morning the Best
Little Army Defending the Oasis challenge where archers, equestrians and
armored fighters come together in one arena.... very spectator friendly.

That is all,
Yaasamiina
