[Artemisia] A & S at the Tournament of Chivalry (This Saturday!)

"Banners Flying" - A banner competition for group or individual entries will be held.  NO documentation is required.  Banners will be displayed at the entrant's location (at their encampment, around the battlefield, etc.)  Winner will be chosen by populace choice and will be awarded a prize basket.  Entrants must register for the competition at the A & S Table by 12 noon.  For complete rules refer to The Questing Quill or contact Lady Anna de Brabant directly.

 

Classes

Mosaic Workshop - Mistress Carol of Stargate (Kingdom A & S Champion)

3 hours long

Limited to 10 participants

$5 materials fee

Bring your own chair

Will begin at 11 am or immediately following Opening Court

 

Knitting - m'Lady Jennet Moir de Brechin 

Beginning Knitting, Knitting in the Round, Period Pouches

Limited to 8 participants

1 hour or more

Bring your own chair

Materials to bring:

*Beginning Knitting - Size 8 or 9 knitting needles and leftover (scrap) yarn

*Knitting in the Round - Size 8 or 9 double pointed knitting needles (set of 4) or a 16-inch circular needle and leftover (scrap) yarn.

*Period Pouches

            *Striped Pouch (beginner level) - Size 5 or 6 double pointed needles or 16-inch circular needle, ½ a skein of "worsted weight" knitting yarn (the normal weight for sweaters) for the main color,  and leftover pieces of "worsted weight" yarn in other colors (several yards long) for the stripes.

            *Color Patterned Pouch (intermediate level) - Size 5 or 6 double pointed needles or 16-inch circular needle, "worsted weight" knitting yarn (the normal weight for sweaters) in the following amounts:  40 yards of the color you use the most, and 10 to 20 yards each of three or more other colors. 

 

Bias Edging for Garb - Lady Anna de Brabant

Learn how to make nice smooth necklines and finish curved edges on garb.
