Methane will run a low compression internal combustion engine, but isnt suited for autos....yet. As it burns it becomes mostly water vapor, like CNG. The real answer my friends is hydrogen, it will work with today's cars and with the new fuel cells, and is 99.9% pollution free! *steps off soapbox* -Reginald
