After the spider infestation in our yurt last year, this year I was
prepared. I used a pet-and-children safe insecticide (also safe for
vegetables) and sprayed around the base of my yurt walls before I put the
floor down or the canvas on. I gave it a few minutes to dry, then finished
setting up. Voila, only 3 or 4 spiders in the yurt during the whole event.
