In Esther's youth she was under the protection of Selim, ruler of the Ottoman Empire, and then his famous son Suleyman Kanuni.  The Muslims call Suleyman:

"Slave of God, powerful with the power of God, deputy of God on earth, obeying the commands of the Qur'an and enforcing them throughout the world, master of all lands, the shadow of God over all nations, Sultan of Sultans in all the lands of Persians and Arabs, the propagator of Sultanic laws (Nashiru kawanin al-Sultaniyye ), the tenth Sultan of the Ottoman Khans, Sultan, son of Sultan, Suleyman Khan" 

Later in life she was ruled, not quite as well, by Suleyman's son Selim II aka Semlim the Sot.  Then Murad III, Mehmed III, and lastly Ahmed.  After Suleyman it was all downhill.

Those Christians change Popes all the time. There have been sixteen different Popes in Esther's lifetime 1530-1610. Esther is Jewish and is not really interested in gentile leaders.
