[Artemisia] Who's Your "King"? -- Authenticity

Since I left my homeland of Persia and settled in the Most Serene Republic of Venice we have no king, we are ruled by the Doge who is elected by a council of 41 Venetian nobles.  The Doge has a great deal of power, but is kept in check my many rules regarding who must be present when he makes decisions of state and when he is allowed to leave the Doge's Palace, which is a site to behold...it reminds me of home.  Currently we are ruled by Doge Girolamo Priuli.

-Maysun (I also thought this was very fun!  I developed my persona based entirely on what kind of garb I wanted to wear and what kind of dance I wanted to study...it's always nice to learn something new.  If you think our election process is complicated in the US, read about how they chose the 41 nobles who would choose the Doge...crazy!)
