I'm going to disagree slightly here.  The final duty of making sure award are properly taken care of is the Crown.  They are the ones that gave the award.  I learned very early on, even as Prince of Artemisia, that things get "lost".

So, I urge everyone who is Crown to make sure They maintain a copy of the court reporting form.  We still have all of ours.  People will never remember who the herald was when they got an award, but they sure will rememeber who the Crown was.

Just my 2 pence worth on this.

With all my respect, Your Grace, you are both right and wrong on this point.

Yes, it is ultimately the Crown's responsibility to make sure that the awards they give are properly recorded, but like most other things that the Crown is ultimately responsible for, Their real job is to pick a competent officer.  It is an unfortunate truth that most of us in Artemisia don't think of Vox/Court Herald as an actual office, just something anyone with a loud voice can fill in and do.  Being a *good* Vox requires the skill to help set the order of Court; to make sure it flows smoothly; to make sure that each award given stands out by itself (difficult when there are many awards being given); to make sure that there are NO surprises during Court (say, an "acolyte" of an "order" approaching the Thrones wearing nothing but the orders' tabard, and "sunning" Her Majesty to prove it); and of course to complete and submit the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion.  Therein lies the difference between being an AVAILABLE Vox and being a GOOD
 Vox.

If everyone holding a Throne expected the same level of professionalism from Their Voxes, the question of "did that Court Report get filed?  Are you sure?" would disappear.

Then the OP problems would be all Thea and Alexander's fault.  ;-D (who luvs ya!)
