St. Pyre Sited in Foothills of Cache Valley!

Good Gentles -

As the Feast of St. Pyre rapidly approaches, many rumors of sitings of the beloved saint are flying! An anonymous source is quoted as saying "he usually makes an appearance, in some form, on the Day of Celebration in his honor....."

I'm sure the well loved Saint is excited for the day of revelry and feasting that will be held in his honor this coming Saturday, April 25th, in the Shire of Cote du Ciel.

Please plan to join us for this fun day of merriment, feasting, dancing, and tournaments.

As is tradition, the tournaments will include the famous Bar Room Brawls, Strange Weapons Tournament, and the Carrot Nose Tournament.

A buffet lunch of soups, breads and cheeses will be available for a small fee, as a Shire fundraiser.

Following the tournaments and revelry on the field, the populous is encouraged to stop into a nearby "tavern" for an evening of dancing, story telling, singing and feasting.

The local tavern has prepared a sumptuous feast to be served from the sideboard of the tavern (buffet) Feast fee is 8 dollars for adults, 4 dollars for children under 12 years of age. It is being prepared under the supervision of Lady Flora of Heronton and Lord Aghren the Brus, with a wonderful staff of students.

Feast is limited to 50 people and will be on a first come, first served basis as you sign into the event at Troll.

Feast menu is as follows:

Appetizers of salted (pickled) vegetables, pickled eggs, salami, cheese and flat bread.
Tossed seasonal greens with fruit, nuts and vinaigrette dressing
Roasted chicken in honey and herbs
Roasted loin of Pork, marinated in red wine vinegar and spices and cooked with fruit
Sausages in plum sauce
Seasoned barley served with sauces from the meats
Steamed vegetable medley (cabbage, onions, parsnips, rutabagas, turnips, carrots) with butter
Aggie bread with cheeses and butter
Custard with fresh strawberry sauce and oat cakes with cream.

If you have special dietary needs, please contact Lady Flora off list and she will be more than happy to accommodate you.

The site of the revelry, silliness and celebration is the Whittier Community Center, 290 North 400 East, Logan. To get to the site, take your best route to Logan, Utah's Main Street (US 91). Go to 300 North. Turn east on 300 North and proceed up the hill for four blocks to the Whittier Center.

Site fee is a mere 6 dollars for adults and 4 dollars for children under 16.
