Not if you find a really thick material to make it out of, Like cardboard
with either heavy leather or metal plating on top of it.

Everyone,

Just a reminder to everyone that Midge Marsh Melee
(http://www.gryphonslair.org/midgemarsh09.htm ) is coming up this weekend.
The site opens at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 7th and closes on Sunday
August 9th at 12:00 Noon. There is going to be a very busy schedule on
Saturday starting at 9:00 AM for Archery and Thrown Weapons (Thrown Weapons
will run throughout the day) then ending with the Baronial Bardic
Championship. I have included a schedule for Saturday below.

A couple of notes that are not on the website. Pets are allowed as long as
they are on leashes and have responsible owners. Remember this site is
directly next to the freeway with a very busy RR track just on the other
side of that. Small children are also allowed (sans the leashes) but have
to
have responsible parents. Please adhere to all rules pertaining to fires at
this site and keep safety in mind at all times. We are spraying for
mosquitoes on Thursday night but please bring plenty of bug repellent for
your own use.

Finally, bring plenty of Sun Screen as there is not a lot of shade on
portions of this site.

If you have any questions please contact me off the list.

Arthen

Ummm... just curious.. but doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of the
whole cardboard thingy... only a minor curiousity.... ;)

Greeting all,

Harvest War will be upon us soon and we need merchants to fill our
pleasant vale. The site has returned to Box Elder Campground and is slated for
Sept. 18 -20. If you have been there before, you know that space is limited
for merchants and will be awarded (by advance reservation) on first come,
first served basis. We have already have 2 merchants on the list. Please
contact me as soon as possible with your intent.

We will have our ever-popular Wench Races in "town square" on Saturday
afternoon which always draws a jovial crowd. Merchant Bantering will also be
another competition that will go on throughout the day. It always adds life
to our village and not only will be judged, but will be appreciated by all!

There is no addition fee for merchant space, but a donation to the
volunteer raffle is requested.

Please contact me of your interest at aghren at msn dot com. I would like
to know what types of wares or services that you plan to offer and how big
of an area you will need for your booth and your camp. If you have specific
questions, I can also be contacted by phone at 801-732-0390. (no calls
after 9:00 pm, please). Pets are welcome with responsible leashed owners.

Also, arrangements for early set-up on Thursday are available for
merchants upon request. We know that it takes a lot to do a merchant booth and are
willing to accomdate your needs as best we can.

Looking forward to a GREAT WAR (shopping!),

Lord Aghren the Brus

Sir Landolf's Benefactor, Olan Mikkelsen, has been offered a job in Salt
Lake City. Olan's family has just signed a 1-year lease in Logan, so they
aren't planning to move to SLC right away. Olan is hoping to find a cheap,
studio apartment or someone who is looking for a roommate, so that he can
stay in SLC during the week and not have to commute back and forth as often.

If anyone knows of suitable living quarters for Olan, please contact
either him at pan underscore landolf at hotmail dot com or me at mikkelsen
underscore rebecca at hotmail dot com.

Thanks,

Rebecca
