Subject: [Artemisia] Barons' War Update (travel and event info) please forward

Firstly we are really looking forward to seeing many people from all
over the kingdom this coming weekend. I have just a few updates.

There is a construction project happening on the 12th street exit, you
may want to take an exit either before or after 12th street.  Then work
your way up to Harrison Blvd.  From there, go to 12th street and
continue your way up the canyon following original instructions.  You
may save roughly 30 minutes from the construction 'slow down'.

The actual name of the site is Ben Lomond Trailhead North Fork Park
Campground - Cutler Flats - East Bowery

The actual site is 2.1 miles past the parking lot mentioned in the
announcement.

The most direct route to the site is:

Continue on North Fork Road past the initial turn off mentioned in
directions, you will pass the Ben Lomand Trailhead South and Middle
gates as well as several church campgrounds.  Make your way to the
entrance to Cutler Flats. Enter through the gates here.  Follow the road
until it T's, turn right toward Cutler Flats (there is a directional
sign here).  Continue to follow the road until it opens to a very large
meadow, with three permanent structures.  The East Bowery is on the far
right.

Note: The initial access road here is steep for a bit.  It does level
out after a short distance and while still climbing is not as steep as
the initial entrance.  The roadway here is fairly narrow, drive slowly
and prepared to pull over to allow oncoming traffic to pass.

The other route is longer, but not as steep:

After the parking lot mentioned in the announcement: Go through the gate
marked Ben Lomond Trailhead South Gate.  Follow the road.  Continue past
loop A, B and the horse stalls,  The road forks at the Mustang Flats
entrance, stay to the left. Follow the signs to Cutler Flats.  The road
opens to a very large meadow with three permanent structures.  The East
Bowery is on the far right.  This is 2.1 miles past the initial parking
lot.

Note: This route is not as steep as the Cutler Flats Entrance, but does
wind around a bit.  Most of the roadway is also quite a bit wider, folks
still need to drive slowly and pull over for for outgoing traffic if
necessary.

We do not recommend providing the instructions for the middle gate
entrance.  This is a VERY narrow roadway, winds around a lot.  It does
eventually meet the turn off for Cutler Flats.

Again, there are a LOT of splits in this area that could send folks off
in the wrong direction.  Recommend a lot of directional signage.

Grocery stores and gas station are in Eden, which is roughly 9 miles
from the site.

There is 1 set of flushing toilets (men/women) directly across the road
from the permanent pavilion with 1 toilet in each.  They both have sinks
with running water. We have contracted to have some Port o lets for
convenience sake.

There is a least 1 water spigot in the general area of the toilets.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Yours,
Raven
