[Artemisia] Orange Barrel Blues

I know they are thick/strong enough, that when we hit one, it took the bumper off a small truck. Seemed pretty strong to me.

The thought of all these barrel farms has put a thought in my head...
Does anyonw know if these are thick enough to work for armor? 
Should be able to get some constructive use out of them...
