[Artemisia] Embordery Question

depends on the silk thread.  I haven't had to do that with splendor, but i did with some other brands that I have.  I have had to color fast my black linen thread, but not the yellow or green from DMC.

Have you ever tried to soak the threads in viniger to set the dye. I have 
tried this with clothing (Levis) and it does help keep them from fading 
longer. not sure how it would work on threads though.
