[Artemisia] Scroll Discussion

Im my opinion, and as the recipient of a photocopied and felt-tip
marker scroll, I appreciate the recognition of the movement which has
already occurred: the Artists of Artemisia are using more authentic and
medieval styles and media (and not just in scribal arts).

What has not been defined is how long have those scrolls been in the
scroll case? Ten years? Twenty?

There are artists in our Kingdom that use alternate media for scrolls -
such as Tryggvar's Hersir Shield , Thorvald's Founding Stone, Ralph's
Bayeux-style "life story" tapestry, Sati's Queens Champion silk banner
or Duke Timmur and Duchess Tianna's tooled leather Mongolian wall
hangings, to name a few. It is my opinion that if the artist is
inspired to do something unique and special for the recipient, that the
Crown should be consulted first. Generally, if the artist's project is
true to the authenticity of the recipient's persona, the "go ahead"
will most likely be given.

In Service,
Maestra Baronessa Bianca da Ravenna
