[Artemisia] OT: Seeking Used Magazines

Greetings!

I hope this is appropriate to post on the list:

My son is deployed in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. In his last letter, 
he mentioned that he and his fellow Marines don't have very much to 
read. He is deployed in what is referred to as a Combat Outpost. This is 
about a step above a fox hole. He said that any time one of the Marines 
gets a care package with books or magazines, the reading material is in 
great demand and makes the rounds of everyone at the outpost really quickly.

If any of you have any used magazines that would be of interest to your 
average Marine that you would be willing to donate, could you bring them 
to Harvest War? Things like, Time, Newsweek, Wired, puzzle magazines, 
and the like are always a hit. If you're a guy, and you are, or were, in 
your early 20's.....you know what they want to read. Anything you donate 
will be included in our next care package after Harvest War.

You can ask for me at Troll or just ask anyone in Cote du Ciel....I'm 
usually pretty easy to find :-)

There are Marines who don't get many letters or care packages who will 
appreciate having something to read. Thanks in advance for anything you 
can spare.
