Just an extra point- there are a couple of easy ways to tell the difference
between a responsible breeder and a puppy mill:
Responsible Breeders don't sell puppies out of a cage in the Walmart parking
lot.
Responsible Breeders don't deliver a puppy before it is 8 weeks old and weened.
Responsible Breeders provide you with the full Vet treatment documents, covering

innoculations and whether the pup is spayed/neutered.
Responsible Breeders can, and will, show you the AKC registration paperwork for
their pure-bred breeding dogs, and will either have registered the pup for you
or will provide all the information you need to register your new pup yourself.
Finally, Responsible Breeders only have one or two different litters available,
not 7 different pure breeds and 3 or 4 mixes
