It's been pointed out that there are two human solutions to climatic 
high heat. The Mid-Eastern one is to cover as much as physically 
possible with a layer of air between the skin and the cloth as 
insulation. The Plains Amerindian one is to cover as little as 
culturally possible and let sweat cope. The latter is indeed impractical 
if you're subject to sunburn.
