ATTENTION GOOD PEOPLES OF ARTEMISIA!It is with great pleasure I announce the coming of our annual Gallow Games event! With the long winter months behind us we look forward to the summer ahead with games and feasting.Our shire A&S competition is traditionally held at this time to allow us to compare what we have created during the long hours of winter eves.  Any person not yet a member of the Order of the Laurel may enter into the competition.  A minimum of three entries must be entered to compete for the shire's A&S championship.  Documentation is highly encouraged.This year we are to include a tournament to determine our shire's rapier championship.  The rapier championship is closed to dons and knights.  Also, there will be heavy weapons fighting. Among the festivities there will be various games for both young and old, everything from axe throwing, to a crossbow shooting gallery to “Whack-a-Gaul”, (You Gotta Be Here To See It!).DIRECTIONS: Take your best route from the south to Kalispell, MT. At the junction of Highway 93 and Highway 2 go east on Highway 2. This will turn into Highway 35 keep going east to the junction of Highway 35 and Highway 206. Go north on Highway 206 for 5 miles. Turn left (west) on Trap Road. Castle Silver Oak is ½ mile down a private drive (Florence Acres Way) . You will see the sign to turn right to the parking area and the troll booth. FEES: Gate fee is $3 for adults and $2 for 12 and under. 6 and under free. As always, there is the $5 non-member surcharge.
