Greetings unto the populace of Artemisia.



The new Arts and Sciences Champion for Artemisia is …

               Duchess Caryn von Katzenberg

She also earned the accolades:

                Lady of Manuscript Arts for Calligraphy on the Pelican
Scroll for Master Ryryd

Lady of Writing for the research paper: Gloves in the Late Sixteenth and
Early Seventeenth Centuries: Style, Construction, and Ornament

Lady of Costuming (tie) for a Pair of Ladies Gloves

                She received the Queen’s Choice for the Gloves.



Reserve Champion:

THL Heidi of Cote du Ciel

She also earned the accolades:

                Lady of Jewelry for a Podniza necklace

                Lady of Costuming (tie) for her dark blue linen sleeveless
T-tunic



Novice Champion:

Lady Aelin of Vordingborg

She also earned the accolades:

Lady of Metalwork for her Pewter Angular ring

Lady of Alchemy for Applied Alchemy: surface coloring

Lady of Cooking for Three Uses for Oranges



Mistress Meg Davenport (the Laurel formerly known as Carol of Stargate)

                Lady of Ceramica for her Spanish Lusterware Bowl, which was
Princess’ Choice

                Lady of Glass for her Fruit Mosaic

                Lady of Fine Arts for her Painting of a Tudor Scribe, the
King’s Choice



Populace Choice was

                Maude Teler  with her from flax seed to bowstring entry.

                She is Lady of Feif Holding.



Lady Marguerite de Provence earned Lady of Needlework for her Late 16th
Century Embroidered Coif



The other entrants in this competition were:

Duke Sean Kirkpatrick Tarragon who went for Champion, the only gentleman to
enter the competition.

Entering in the Novice Category were:

Lady Mairghread inghean Uilluim, the first from Stan Wyrm to enter the
Kingdom A&S Competition.

Lady Vigdis of the Keep whose Naalbinding was beautiful.



Entering to receive comments, but not competing for Champion were:

Esther bat Baruch from Castelleone Nuovo whose guide to judging period belly
dancing will be required reading for that competition category.

Mistress Mirr Merat al-Qasab for non-European Costuming.
