Greetings everyone,
Now that a little time has passed to put things in perspective, I have
observations to make about the Kingdom Competition.

First, thank you to all who participated. The level of quality of the
entries was very high.
The event staff worked hard to make it all happen.

Second, thank you to those who judged. I saw judges hard at work, reading
documentation, asking questions. I saw Laurels judging together with
apprentices and students, showing them what to look for.

Third, to all the judges who worked on my entries, good work! Your
assessments were valid, and your comments were well thought out and helpful.
Judging is the hard part of the competition, and you all did well.

And to those of you who found room for improvement in my entries (and your
comments were valid, there was some,) a challenge: there will be another
competition next year. It's your turn to do it better. Start now.

I can't wait to see what you will create.
Best regards,
Duchess Caryn von Katzenberg, OL, OP, GA
Kingdom of Artemisia Arts and Sciences Champion
