Greetings Shire Members!

This is a public thanks to Eli/ Hildebrand for his over the
top and dedication to making Catapalooza a success this year. He was there each
morning at 8am for set up. He lugged about 100 lbs of gear both ways two times
a day, and with limited assistance. Eli set up the Arts and Sciences display
and encouraged people to sign up for the club on campus as well as more
information if they were not an MSU student. He stayed all day all three days,
and promoted our Shire. Eli handed out brochures, he talked with the public, he
networked with clubs on campus including the medieval weapons club, the fencing
club and the local gaming store in town. And when Eli was tired and done with
the event, he stayed, helped and rode through to the very end, cheering on when
it was hot and difficult to stay positive. Eli was positive, encouraging and
dedicated in his belief and understanding of the importance of Catapalooza to
this Shire.

In addition, I would like to thank Meg O’Niel, Teresa/ Rose
Rhua, Luke/ Wylef,  Anna, Hunds and
CeeCee for their support at Catapalooza. They also assisted in handing out
brochures, talking with the public and promoting our shire. Hunds walked around
in his armor promoting heavy fighting and armor craftsmanship on two days of
this event. Meg, Teresa, Anna and Wylef were able to make a day each and
promote the positive Arts and Sciences of our shire.

What you all may not realize is the importance of
Catapalooza to our Shire in Silverkeep. Catapalooza is the means to connect
with the college student population in a FREE venue. We can hand out brochures,
talk up the SCA and the FUN, and get signatures for club membership. This
membership is important so that we continue to have a winter location inside
for weekly practices. This venue is also important for FREE winter class space
for A&S workshops and activities.

So, thank you to the five members of my family household,
Talon’s Keep, who went out of their way to help and assist these efforts on
behalf of the Shire of Silverkeep. Thank you for helping make the dream happen
for all those who play locally and those who travel from surrounding areas to
play with us. Thank you.
