Minors under the age of 12: must be within
voice range or in sight of a responsible adult or teenager at all times.
(Walkie-talkies and/or cell phones do not qualify as voice range.)   Minors
are welcome to attend Pennsic
 University classes.  Children under 12 may attend classes in the
regular University tents when accompanied by a responsible adult
appointed by their parent or legal guardian who stays with them during the
class.  Any minor who
wishes to attend a University class in a private encampment or in a merchant
booth must be accompanied by a responsible adult who stays with them
during the class. 

 

Daily Activities:

Pennsic Youth Choir, Lady
Erlandr, Choir Director, Thur. 8/2- 8/9, All ages accepted.  Ages
14+ can audition for the adult Choir.

European Dance Classes & Balls, 8/1-8/10, European
Dance Pavilion, Children & youth of all ages are invited to
attend our dance classes, Open Dancing, Dance Balls & Revels. There are 4
‘Introduction to European Dance’ Classes,
8/1-8/4, 12-1pm, to introduce
children & youth to dance, with a “Dance
Revel for All Ages” on Sat., August 4, 5-7pm (the dances will be taught in
these classes).

Pennsic Youth Combat,  8/3 thru 8/10, 8-10:30am and 3-5pm at
the Youth lists on the Battlefield.  

Youth Fencing, 8/6-8/10, 2:30-4:30 PM – Minors wishing to participate in youth fencing activities must first see
the Youth Rapier Marshal in Charge, Lord Lucien (accompanied by a parent or
guardian) to complete necessary paperwork. He will be at youth fencing practice.  The youth rapier lists are open from 2:30 - 4:30pm, Mon. thru Fri. (8/6-8/10) next to
the Rapier Pavilion on the Battlefield.    

Pennsic Youth Archery – There
will be a "Family
 Range" set up with
child-friendly targets. This range is for younger archers to practice.  For the War Point Shoots, children and adults
will shoot at the same War Point ranges.  On Sunday August 5th from 4-6 pm there will be
a Pennsic Archery Championship Tourney for youths from ages 2-17.   

Youth Point, Thursday 8/2 thru Friday
8/10, generally open 9:30-noon and 1-4pm. Youth Point, is located
on the Low Road next to the playground (near the Barn), and is a central place
for children and their parents to gather. Come sit in the shade, make a few new
friends, and swap kid tips and childcare notes.   Details at

8/2-Wednesday 8/8 (Performance 8/9) - for three different age groups:


                9-10am,
Ages 5 and under: The Pennsic Players will create and perform a short
play 

                10-11am, Ages 6-12:The
Pennsic Fairytale Players will rehearse and perform a fairytale 

                5:30pm, Ages 13-17: iGiovani
- the Youngest Commedia Troup in the Entire World - will learn about canovaccio, and will                 rehearse and perform a commedia
dell'Arte.
