Just a reminder that spring is in the air, and we’ll be having lots of fun this Saturday. So please come one and all and join us in our event!!!

This being the (spring) Feast of St. Patrick, those who come wearing some form of the ‘green’ will receive our ‘coin of the realm’ (i.e., chocolate coins for the newly involved) as a token of our appreciation. (The Green must be visible!) There will be ‘fun’ prizes awarded during feast for ‘farthest traveled’, best short ‘green’ story, best ‘green’ song, best ‘green/white’ table/feast gear display, and best ‘green’ reason given for why there are so many 3-leaf clover (because we have all heard the ‘4-leaf clover’ stories…).

Our main event is the Baronial Arts & Sciences Competition. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Those who pre-register need to do so by March 3. All entries need to be set up and ready for judging by Noon. If you are going for champion, at least 5 items in 2 grand categories with documentation are required. We follow the Kingdom of Artemisia judging rules and forms. Judges are needed; those wishing to judge please contact HE Annys of Pengwyrn – please VOLUNTEER. Check the Baronial website for updates and details on the Competition.

If you are interested in presenting a class, please contact our MOAS, HE Annys, by March 3.

We will have a hearty lunch which is the Barony’s fundraiser and is $5. Lunch is 2 great soups, fresh bread, cheeses, hot cider and almond cardomon cakes. HE Judith of Sherburn is the lunch host.

The potluck co-ordinator is HE Gefjon fasthaldri Hrafnardottir. Please let her know what you are bringing and what you will need in the way of ‘kitchen’ necessities. She will let you know what is available at this site. A kitchen clean-up crew is needed – please VOLUNTEER! If you are unable to bring a dish for the potluck, the fee is $5. Please be kind to your friends and bring a recipe card for your dish for those with allergies.

Site fee is $5. Our site is the American Legion Post #27, 825 Ronan Street, Missoula, MT 59801. The site opens at 9 a.m. and the event closes at 10 p.m.

DIRECTIONS: From the west, north or east take exit #104 onto Orange Street. You can only turn south. Go through the underpass and over the river. Turn right (west) onto S. 5th Street. Go seven blocks and turn left (south) onto California Street. After you cross 6th Street, California Street jogs right (south-west) and becomes Ronan Street. The site is in the second block.
