The link to the website. Click that and the second tab says leave smalls at
home because they want it to be an event for adults. I had my children at
masked ball last year. They were dressed up in garb. They had a blast. I
was one of the only adults keeping an eye on my own children. I was one of
the only adults that said something to the teens that were throwing my
childrens hot chocolate cups around while my children "got in trouble" by
the person serving the hot chocolate because they needed a new cup! I do
supervise my children and do keep them entertained and under control unlike
many others. As far as people that do not want children at events, they
need to find a new hobby. Many such as myself do not know how to sew and do
not have the funds to buy overpriced garb and period looking toys. My
children play with what keeps them occupied. My infant certainly doesn't
have many "period" items. We have one piece of garb for her. Yes we try to
be as period as possible but if you have a problem with non period toys
than you better not have any metal folding chairs at the event. Or modern
tables. Better yet it shouldn't even be in a modern building! In comparison
we were at barony birthday for our infant's first event. Our brother Duncan
was fighting. We were supervising our very active 3 year old niece.
Thankfully we had a lot of help and support. Our baby was passed around and
her majesty sorcha even held onto our niece and helped find her snacks
while her dad fought and we were juggling a baby. Even his majesty Timmur
wanted to hold our infant. (Someone took pictures, I'd love to have copies
please!) Fact is the people of thousand eyes have proven time and again how
welcoming and supportive they are. Complete strangers even offered their
home and cooked us breakfast so we didn't have to drive home on ice. On the
other hand arn hold has made us feel unwelcome because I am new, and we
have children.

What am I missing here? I don't see anywhere in the Masked Ball event
announcement that kids aren't welcome.
