The time has arisen to determine the new heirs to the Gryphon Thrones.  A tournament is to be held in the Shire of Bronzehelm and the victors shall be named Crown Prince and Princess of Artemisia.   There will be much rejoicing and celebration upon their victory.   

The festivities will begin at 10am on the 3rd of October.  The tournament shall begin at their majesties discretion.  The tournament will be held outdoors so please bring seating of your choice, there are trees around the field, however sunshades are welcome.  The site will be festive with banners flying as you arrive.  The hall will be open for you to rest and keep cool/warm throughout the day.  

The site is wet, with a local tavern on site; they do request no outside alcohol or food be brought into the hall.  They have graciously opened the tavern for food as well throughout the day, so you can have a full belly and still enjoy all the activities the day has to offer.  

The tournament shall be double elimination, best 2 out of 3  per His Majesties request.  All entrants’ applications must be received by September 19 to be eligible to participate in the tournament.  See the Sage Advice for forms and submission information.

The Shire populace has been working long hours to prepare the fundraiser for this event.  There shall be silk hankies dyed with the Artemisian Gryphon for you to wave joyously as the battles ensue.  We do ask that each participant please email your arms to Mistress Isabeau at isabeaumiller at yahoo.com, so you will have hankies ready to sell and wave in your honor.  There will also be larger banners for each Barony and Shire available.   

Site:  Billings Moose Lodge at 131 Calhoun Lane,  Billings Montana. 59101.  
Directions: From the west, I 90 take exit 446 City Center , head East on  I90 business loop (East Laurel Road) 1.3 miles, Right onto First Avenue South, Right onto Underpass Avenue, site is to the left on  the corner of Calhoun.

Accommodations:  Please contact the autocrat if you need crash space. Hotels are available near site:  MyPlace Hotel and Sleep Inn will both offer a discount if you mention that you are with the SCA.

Site fee:  $13 per adult, Non member surcharge of $5 Children 0-17 are guests of the Kingdom. Make checks payable to Shire of Bronzehelm.
