[Artemisia] Bardic competition at Coronation

Mistress,
I humbly apologize for the lateness of the information, we needed crucial
event information to finalize the schedule.

The parameters of the Bard of Artemisia competition are at the pleasure and
discretion of every seated Crown, including when it is to be held and any
other competition particulars. The incoming Crown has chosen their
Coronation to provide an opportunity for their northern populace who may
not be able to travel south for Crown Tournament.
The time restraints are simply to help the competition move expeditiously
so that all competitors have a equitable performance opportunity.
If your performance selection requires more than the alloted time, please
seek out their Royal Highnesses so arrangements can be made.

I’m discouraged at this late notification for the Bard of Artemisia
competition.  I had thought it is usually held at Crown Tournament.
Moreover, I think having a time limit of 3 minutes is severely
restrictive.  Good stories take more time than that.

Unto all performers, entertainers and bardic artists of variety, hear these
words!!


In order to schedule the Bard of Artemisia competition with appropriate
time and importance, Their royal Highnesses would like to know how many
Artemisians intend to grace the Populace with their talent.

  **  Pieces should be 2-3 minutes max (this includes any introduction or
story or explanation of your piece)
  **  depending on the number of participants, bardic may be held during
fighting in between rounds or during feast. Please plan accordingly.
