I hope to try that one day myself with glass enamel paints fired on.
Anyway, I have gotten the equipment but not the books on it
yet except for ones on china painting. I suppose I could do it
with paints on enamels on metals but somehow a bisque cabochon
seems like an easier way to go. That is why I looked for an agate
mortar and pestle for years until I found one company selling them
on eBay and bought the screens for sifting the grindings. I have
one friend who teaches china painting and my teacher does a
variety of enamel techniques and they both do jewelry techniques.
The teacher will show me the methods for granulation after she
masters them herself. She pays for much more expensive classes
than I am willing to pay for. Then once she masters the techniques
teaches them at the University Crafts Center. At a fifth the price.
;)
