I just got a notice from Starr Cash (my contact in 
the alpaca fiber
co-op) that they are currently glutted with NCV 
fleece. NCV fleece is
alpaca fleece that can't be commercially spun, 
generally due to short
staple length or coarse fiber. This stuff is great 
for felting or for
making battings.

If anyone is interested in purchasing some of the 
NCV fiber, drop me a
line (marna.m @ gmail.com <http://gmail.com>) and 
I will pass on the
contact info to Starr. Right now, the AFCNA is 
looking for a commercial
outlet for this fiber--if anyone would like to 
team up for a final
product, pitch your ideas!
