I've built a slightly simpler version of this chair, with a lower back.  
 
It's too heavy to tote around, of course, but it is suprisingly comfortable and is an excellent chair to set outside the pavilion or around the fire-ring.  
 
One reason I prefer it to the "jigsaw-puzzle" chair is that you CAN pick it up and move it without fear of accidental dismantling.

WOOD:  We are buying Birch plywood from Hardwoods Inc.

PRICE FOR EACH CHAIR (includes tax) is $44.89.  

MONIES:  So far we will be purchasing a total of 14 sheets of plywood
that are already spoken for.  7 sheets @$40.00 =  $280.00 + tax
                     7 sheets @$45.50 =  $318.50 +tax
Therefore, we need as much money up front as possible please.  If you
would like to bring your own wood, you will need 1 sheet of 4x8 x1/2"
plywood and 1 sheet of  4x8x3/4" plywood.

FOOD:  Since this is the labor day weekend, we are planning on having a
picnic also.  Baron Llywelyn and Lady Margaret are providing: chili, hot
dogs, hamburgers, chips, taco salad and soft drinks.  If possible,
please bring a dish to pass.

 

OTHER STUFF TO BRING: We will be outside, so please bring your own
chairs. Also, if you have tables, that will help too. Also needed: day
shades, sawhorses, scroll saws. If you want a color other than walnut,
bring your own stain. 



Workshop participants is limited, so please be sure to RSVP early. (Lady
Margaret already has a number of Highland Foorde folks on the list, so
you don't need to RSVP again if you already have).
