I can see this having a lot of applications for custom work, kingdom
and baronial awards. So I am passing this on.

For me in particular it would be very nice as I have problems sawing
out complicated designs with the neuromuscular problems. I am sure
there are many craftspeople that that could help or speed with their
work.

Roofing supply copper is .040" and it might make the price more reasonable.

Now imagine if she can cut scale in various metals.
Then a whole different group could be interested.

I buy some of my supplies from this lady.
Have no commercial interest in it other than that.

Hi Enamelists,
I am considering investing in machinery to make copper shapes. These
shapes would be new shapes for inventory, as well as the ability to
do custom shapes for you.

As I understand the proposed equipment, we would be able to make
shapes from a black and white design.

This machine uses a computer to cut the design. It can size your
image, so you can get matching earrings and pendant. It can also do
texturing, as in fur lines on a cat shape. It can cut a depression
of the design shape into the metal, (think of a look like etching),
or cut the design out of a circle, rectangle, etc. It also looks
like we could do pieces in the Guilloche style. ( Guilloche style
refers to a type of geometric pattern cut into the surface of the
metal, think about , wave designs, lines radiating from the center,
etc.). Different gauges can be used. So lighter weight earrings!

As you can guess, the machinery is not inexpensive. If you might be
interested, let me know. If I get a big enough positive responses we
will go ahead with this. It sounds wonderful to me, but I need to
make an intelligent business decision.

Let me know what you think, is this a good thing? Would you be
interested? Right now I do not have specific pricing that would need
to be charged, but it should be in line with the current prices for
copper pieces.
