Greetings!
If you are planning to come and teach at MSS6, there is an automatic
scheduler on-line!
http://www.ekmg.eastkingdom.org/scheduler/index.html?event=mss6
Come and join us! If you've never been to an MSS, this is like no event
you've ever been to - glass, metal, gems, jewelry, anything else we can
cram in that has to do with fire and hot stuff!
Teachers will be given first dibs to sign up for other classes - which
means, as classes are added, if you contact us, we'll do our best to
ensure your classes aren't scheduled at the same time!
And if someone's already teaching a class you'd like to teach, it doesn't
matter - sign up anyway!
There are heated cabins on-site, and classes will start Friday night and
go till Sunday.
Mistress Alicia is trying to get a guest speaker or two from Penn State
to come out and play with us!
There will be a shuttle service on site to help people get to classes.
(That means that those in "outlying regions" will get meals too!)
Blacksmiths will be centrally located, above the high tide mark! ;-)
There will be a library in the feast hall - if you have special books,
please consider bringing them, we have a full-time person manning the
library station. We're also planning to bring a digital camera and lots
of CDs, so if you find a few pages of things that will help your
research, photograph them, and we'll make CD for you to take home. This
falls under "fair use" copyright, so it's good if you find unusual books
in the library!
If there is interest (contact me, if you are), we might have the glass
bead challenge on Sunday - where teams set up as if we're apprentices,
and we see how many beads we can crank out in an hours' time, to see what
it was like to "work for your supper".
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me or the ACG (Abhainn
Ciagh Glaiss - dang, I never can spell it right...."ACG") contacts in the
event announcement, also at the top of www.ekmg.eastkingdom.org
See you there!
-Carowyn
P.S. Feel free to pass this email on!
